I am a new Phd student (almost one year into the program). I was in theory in the Master's program, and switched to experimental for my PhD. For my study I have to use programming language, but I had less experience with it. I Immediately started to work with this, but still have big problems dealing with this. So I don't have any positive contribution and my supervisor doesn't seem to be happy. I really want to continue with experimental study, don't want to just quit and go back to theory. How can I become proficient in the experimental portion of research?
