I'd expect you'd have real trouble getting back to a top-10 program, but a smaller school that's more teaching focused instead of research might be very eager to have someone with experience at that level. She still have to compete with the hypothetical 200 resumes, but good references from her current program could help her stand out from the crowd. | |

Wouldn't that require that a large proportion of people who leave academia do it for those specific purposes? Is there a problem with sexual harassment in the humanities that I'm not aware of? | |
