I had written two of them by the time I was done as an undergrad, one of which was submitted. 10 years later, it remains my highest cited publication. Arguably one of my most prestigious publications was also done as an undergrad. It was arguably a special case, but it's far from impossible. | |

It may be a good learning experience, but you may also pick up some bad habits along the way (due to the unreasonable expectations). | |
