The OP clearly stated that they are reaching out to the professor, who is an expert, to learn something new, but are looking for confidentiality. Also, the OP mentioned that they're just bandying around an idea at this point; there's no company for which the professor could consult. The behavior you advocate in this answer is pretty presumptive on the part of the student given the situation described. | |
