Of course if you start asking 101-grade algebra questions that would be disruptive)

"Auditing [a course]" means different things in different countries, and whether the university is publicy-funded or privately-funded. Also whether you have the right to audit a course, whose permission you require, how many audit courses per semester/total courseload, whether you need to be a registered student (for any other course), whether the audited classes appear on your transcript at all (with "Audit")...
