In general, the interview process is more focused on cultural fit, are we a fit for you and are you a fit for us. This could be this office's way to measure the fit by having individual staff interviews with you. I would expect PhD students to be mature enough to inform staffing decisions. | |

In fact, that is often part of the interview process. It's common that you get to meet other group members and see the lab facilities. It would be more of a concern if you didn't get that opportunity. | |
