For example, if it's a question from a topic not in my course, or even another course, I'd be happy to answer it in a lab or tutorial if there is time and no one else needs help. But I won't answer it in my own time. If its a question like "will this equation be in the exam?", yes it's a silly question, but no you don't tell the student that. tl;dr: don't be afraid to refuse to answer a question, but be diplomatic about it. | |
