You do not have to do everything a reviewer askasks, but you should reponserespond to each point they ask. If you really don't want to do a plot, don't do it and justify it to the reviewer. In these circumstances, if there is something you really don't want to do, I would make sure I address all the other points the reviewer raised, to show that you have carfullcarefully considered what they said, even if you disagree with somethingssomething. (Like additional citations you don't think are relavent but the referee does).

On the other hand a good plot goes alonga long way to explaing what you are doing, espicallyespecially in astrophysics. If you make a plot I could then put that plot in my talks (advertising your work for free) if it made sense to what I do. If all you have is equations then I'm not going to put anything about your work in my talks.
