Undergraduates are already being stressed out with lots of requirements, many of them vaguely relevant. If everyone in a CS program was striving for responsibility-heavy positions involving big data, your suggestions would have some validity; but otherwise, an extra class inserted into a CS program just "for social justice" would only antagonize most students. (Also, the titles of some of the books you mentioned don't quite sound even-handed -- albeit this seems to be a general problem with titles that does not always reflect on the books.) | |
