If this is a math course then the prof is totally out of line. However, if this is a course in how to become a lobbyist then I think it is a fine assignment. | |

Maybe try to raise awareness with other students or with people higher up. | |

They are a foundation that deals with student rights in education, including freedom of conscience. They are staffed with lawyers that have an intimate knowledge of this field of law, and they take on many cases for free. Regardless of whther this individual professor is retiring, the university itself should be held to account for the actions of its staff. | |

The University will fear the profession's governing body much more than an irate student, even one with a newspaper campaign. Drop that into your conversations with them. ...
