Questions about the language exams which the applicants to academic programs may sit to prove their language skills.

Language exam scores are often required to be submitted when applying to graduate programs to prove a minimum level of proficiency in the language of instruction for successfully completing the program. Commonly used exams for measuring proficiency in English are TOEFL and IELTS. This requirement may often be waived for native speakers or speakers who have completed prior levels of education in the same language. Scoring above a certain threshold may also be a requirement to be eligible for teaching assistant positions during the course of the program.
