and, these people are very successful.

There are lots of posts in Academia.SE describing the negative aspects of doing multiple PhDs.

As far as I realize, most of the answerers are US-based.

My question is,

• Is the notion of multiple PhDs are bad for a career either in the industry or in the academia applicable only to North America or is it applicable to the entire OECD?
