I use EDAS to look for conferences. Is there another way to look for conferences based on a specific "location/country" as I have a limited travel budget and would like to plan and find conferences in the USA this year? I am in STEM field so I am looking for an efficient website to look at to find conferences (IEEE/ACM/springer) based on location/area

2Have you asked your supervisor? Most supervisors will know about all the relevant conferences, especially if they are nearby.– LouicMay 13 at 15:55

Many scientific societies (some of which are national) run mailing lists where people can advertise conferences. Also many have a place on their website to list related conferences, not only their own.– Christian HennigMay 14 at 23:37

if you specify the country of your institution, people will be better able to help you with funding opportunities– littleraspberryMay 16 at 14:06

You could look at student sites of professional societies or ask the question in specific student information fora of these. Other students might have recommendations not just on places but also on student travel grants and how to get these. In many cases, though you will have to dig a bit, you can find funding for travel to conferences. Also look at NGOs or government agencies who depending on your field sometimes support travel to conferences.
