Been trying to decide between majoring math or engineering, my interests being in math, electronics, software, and chemistry. Math being my favourite, but most of the math jobs I’ve looked at in my province are in education, I know there are jobs in accounting, finance, and economics, but I’m not really interested in any of them.

  • As an undergrad in math I got the question of "what are you going to do?" all the time. There are many more jobs than you would think for bachelors in math. Depending on the availability of courses in statistics/data science in your math undergrad that is certainly a very hot field. My own field of biostatistics typically requires a graduate degree but has been very interesting. If you go with math try to take several programming courses these along with a math degree will open a lot of doors. Other fields include psychometrics and actuaries. – RAND Feb 18 at 4:24
