It’s commonly posited that organic chemistry serves as a way to weed out potential doctors who wouldn’t really be suitable.

However, an older and well-connected friend recently stated that at a medical institution where he is engaged, biology is more emphasized than chemistry in comparison to the state of affairs 50 years ago.

Does this attitude manifest at the undergraduate and admissions level?
