I am applying to PhD in computer science. In the statement of purpose, is it good to include a summary section and list important contributions as bullet points? (e.g., I have 10 publications, I have 3 years teaching experience, etc)

These things should be on your CV. – astronat Dec 1 '18 at 23:31
  • @astronat it is usually said that they look your cv and other material if and only if they like your statement of purpose, is not this publication record attractive ? – user91300 Dec 2 '18 at 6:30
  • @Guray I highly doubt that is the case. I would expect admissions check the CV or transcript first to make sure the minimum grade requirements are met, then read the statement and references. But let us see if any more experienced faculty can weigh in on the matter. – astronat Dec 2 '18 at 8:26
  • If your statement includes the phrases "ten publications" and "three years of teaching experience", you can be pretty sure that people will look at your CV! Especially if your statement also includes the sentence "See my CV for a complete list of my papers." – JeffE Dec 2 '18 at 20:28
