Feb 19, 2016 at 16:35 comment added gnometorule It seems unlikely that the tutor doesn't know the answers, if all questions are as trivial as your two examples. They sound not very interested in their job, but as a university employee in Germany, it's probably not easy to have them change their ways, or getting them dismissed. I wouldn't be surprised if it's known among faculty (we had an unpopular lecturer who had sued himself into essential tenure). I'd avoid them if possible, and probably let it go.
