Foreign students tend to be better at writing than their oral, while native speakers tend to be better at oral than writing, but even this is not certain. Also, for most people, oral tends to use shorter, simpler words than written (one of the best way to detect if someone is presenting by reading off text vs referring to cue cards is to see how much they ramble with long sentences not normally intelligible in spoken language). You'll have a really hard time using your oral reading to detect or prove plagiarism. | |
