But he is very new and has been a part-time post doc rather than a co-PI for the majority of my PhD. In terms of ideas, they are almost purely my own with occasional discussion with the main advisor. I don't believe they ever communicate about them without me. | |

Sometimes the contributions of all parties involved is not clear to students because the main advisor does not communicate it. | |
